Life Assurance policies give protection to your loved ones should something happen to you. Life Assurance can make sure the people you leave behind are covered financially. We fully recommend a life assurance plan; this is particularly important if you are a homeowner or have dependants.
WHY SHOULD I GET A LIFE ASSURANCE PLAN?
Unfortunately we live in a world where anything is possible and no one knows what the future holds. Life Assurance (insurance) is in place to protect your dependants in the event of your death; with dependants we mean children, spouse and anyone who is financially reliant on you. Having a life assurance policy means your dependants can cope financially around what will be an extremely difficult time.
With some policies it is possible to add critical illness cover to your life assurance to cover you if you are diagnosed with one of the illness or injuries insured within your policy.
Most policies won’t cover you for drug or alcohol abuse and you may need a different type of cover if you participate in dangerous sports. You also might not be covered for any current illnesses you may have when you take out a policy.
IS IT GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY?
Life Assurance/insurance costs vary depending on your lifestyle and what risk you may pose. For example a 27 year old non-smoking individual’s policy will be much cheaper than a 68 year old smoker’s policy.
On average policies cost less than you imagine, meaning life assurance tends to be fantastic value.
